The winners can look forward to prize money of 25,000 euros each, which in turn must be invested in climate projects.<\/p>\n<p>Three competition categories have been announced at klimaschutz.de\/en\/competition2023, namely \"Category 1 - Resource and energy efficiency\", \"Category 2 - Renewable energies with a municipal focus\" and \"Category 3 - Climate protection through cooperation with the private sector\". There is also a \"Special Prize - Climate Protection in Social Institutions\".<\/p>\n<p>Cities, districts and municipalities that implement measures to reduce the consumption of resources or energy, for example, that make decisive progress in the use of renewable energies and that bring private companies on board for climate protection can take part. The winners will be publicly announced and awarded prizes at the next Municipal Climate Conference.
