A wildlife camera on a property can violate the personal rights of neighbors. This was decided by the local court in Munich (case no.: 171 C 11188\/22). The local court thus confirmed a temporary injunction prohibiting the owner of the camera from setting it up on her property if she could use it to record the neighbor's area or give the impression of doing so.<\/p>\n
Although the camera was later removed, the court confirmed the necessity of the temporary injunction. The judges took into account that the alleged surveillance could already constitute a violation of personal rights.<\/p>\n
The case emphasizes the importance of respecting the privacy and personal rights of neighbors and shows that surveillance can also have legal consequences even if the camera is not filming the neighbor's property, but such an impression can be created.<\/p>\n
