The German Property Federation (ZIA) has presented a position paper with proposals for the realignment of federal funding for efficient buildings (BEG). According to the ZIA, the funding system should be consistently geared towards CO2 savings, among other things. In addition, the expansion of renewable energies in Germany should be stepped up.<\/p>\n
The ZIA is also calling for a new funding landscape that is free of state aid, just like the current BEG. If something is deemed to be free of state aid, applications for subsidies will be less complicated for applicants as they will have to provide less information. The ZIA also proposes promoting the energy-efficient refurbishment of existing properties and efficient new builds. The aim of these measures is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.<\/p>\n
According to the ZIA, the use of sustainable building materials is also key to achieving a climate-neutral building stock by 2045. For example, the promotion of local building materials that can be brought to the construction site without long transportation routes and thus contribute to saving C02 is conceivable.
