A technology for optimizing solar systems is the goal of the Dig4morE joint project, which includes the Helmholtz Institute Erlangen-Nuremberg and the photovoltaic companies Sunsniffer, Aquila Capital and Sunset Energietechnik. The project partners want to use artificial intelligence to develop a methodology that suggests optimization measures for solar installations.<\/p>\n
Thanks to the methodology, it should be possible to read out faults directly on site from the monitoring data of the individual solar modules. The aim is also to develop a methodology that recognizes the faults of the solar systems even in different weather conditions. The photovoltaic companies are therefore providing the researchers with data from eleven solar parks located throughout Europe.<\/p>\n
The new method should make it possible to analyze faults more cost-effectively. According to the project managers, solar module faults can already be detected using thermographic analysis, for example, but this is expensive and time-consuming. The project managers expect the first results towards the end of the year. Among other things, they would like to derive recommendations for action from these.<\/p>\n
